I can't say I'm a huge hip-hop fan and I personally feel mainstream hip hop hasnt been decent since the early 2000's/late 90's but I really found a gem with Kid Cudi's album.
I liked both his singles and just got curious and downloaded his album and its surprisingly amazing. Its very dark, sonic, atmospheric and beautiful. It totally transcends the genre of hip hop to me because it appeals to my love for ambient, and electronic music. I would encourage anyone who is into hip hop even slightly to check this album out because it really is amazing. My only complaint is that its a bit melodramatic at times. So yeah, check out Man On The Moon: End of the Day by Kid Cudi.
