I think it's a rebuttal... but at the same time it's not totally hateful or anything. Near the end he says he wishes he was her (which is some kind of flattery...? i dunno!)

Great song. Like this one alot more than Babyface. Thanks for transcribing the lyrics! I can understand alot of them now where I couldn't before.
The one lyric I heard differently than you two is "You wouldn't be such a brood" I heard it as "You wouldn't be such a brute". Could be either though.

^ and "brute" could totally be a reference to brute/beaute (the label rk founded, right?).

It's 4pm here right and I have literally been listening to this song non-stop on my iPod at the library since 10am. I love it!

I love that the tune makes me want to shake my head and smile, yet the lyrics almost make me want to cry because, well, it's so sad and a little bitter. And rather sarcastic as well. Definitely a response to "My Snake Pet" to me. I don't know what happened between Blake and Jenny exactly, but it seems to be pretty nasty. Can't wait for the big RK reunion in ten years' time, though, after they've accused each other of all kind of evils through lyrics and finally work it out.

I don't know if something big went down, it sounds like their relationship turned sour and they're both bitter towards each other. She thinks he's jealous and toxic and he thinks that she's thinks she's the fucking shit.

I was thinking about this last night and you know, if this is a response to 'My Pet Snakes' (durr of course it is) then he responded pretty freaking quickly. I wonder what he thought when he heard her song? (Oh well, thinking too much about this ;p)
