I'm absolutely obsessed with it! Never been a big Animal Collective fan until now. I've gone back to some of their other albums now and love those too.

With the year almost half over, I thought it a good time to revise this thread as some really fine albums have come out in '09. Thus far, I have the new Heartless Bastards (great), Bat For Lashes (great), and Neko Case (really great!!) albums - for shame not having more, I know, but I'll get around to it.

Next I'm gonna get my hands on AC Newman's album and I'm still waiting to hear if there is going to be a Band of Horses album this year. That would be awesome but I couldn't find any info on it so I'll just keep my fingers crossed on that one.

I haven't bought too many albums this year and the only truly great one is Journal For Plague Lovers by Manic Street Preachers. Their best since This Is My Truth... maybe even best since Everything Must Go. Although being a fan since 1992, I have never tought that Richey's input matters so much as some thin. Well, maybe he is the missing piece of jig saw puzzle anyway.

New Sonic Youth album, The Eternal, released yesterday. I've heard just one track from it, Sacred Trixter, and it's good. Real good. Kim Gordon still rocks and I'm gonna have to purchase this one very soon.
